THE OFFICIAL NXT DEFINITIONS

TE Effectiveness

TE Effectiveness belongs to one of the eight Type Instincts in the NXT personality framework. If you are new or unfamiliar with the topic, do refer to the Introduction of Type Instinct for more information.

Overview

Logical Effectiveness, or Effectiveness for short, is the Type Instinct for archetypes who have Extraverted Thinking (TE) as their Dominant Cognitive Function.

Extraverted Thinking is an Extraverted Explicit Judging Cognitive Function, used to attain a sense of belonging by figuring out what collectively works best through the logical reasons of others.

This Cognitive Function is relatively objective and denotative as it prioritizes the most convincing reasonings based on the collective judgments of others in order to achieve logical effectiveness.

As such, Extraverted Thinkers tend to focus on leading others based on group-oriented logic, most noticeably by considering the reasons and abilities of the group, all of which promote logical effectiveness.

Brief technical description: Extraverted Thinking seeks for what collectively works best by prioritizing logical effectiveness.

To provide greater clarity and understanding of the descriptions above, below are the key definitions for the specific terms used.

Key Definitions

Definition of Effectiveness:
The degree to which something is successful in producing a desired or intended result.

Note: Although everyone may be effective at some point in their lifetimes, Effectiveness for a NXT Extraverted Thinker is specifically tied to their instinct to seek for results in the best and fastest way.

Definition of Extraverted:
Referring to a psychological orientation that is centered around the objective viewpoint of one's outer world.

Note: Extraverted is a term originally coined by Carl Jung. Extraverted in this context is not to be confused with the typical understanding of an extravert, such as being outgoing, loud, or someone who occupies the spotlight.

Definition of Thinking:
Processing logical reasons by focusing primarily on the validity and coherence of actions or arguments.

Note: Thinking includes, but is not limited to: making things work, tracking logical coherence, and gauging the utility of things.

Definition of Leading:
Prioritizing the needs of others by focusing primarily on the group's development.

Note: Leading includes, but is not limited to: checking for the opinions of others, reaching group consensus, and forming groups or communities.

Definition of Objective:
Based on the non-personal interpretation of matters.

Note: An impersonal interpretation is not equivalent to an accurate or better interpretation, but merely one that is more detached from the individual.

Definition of Logic:
The systematic inference that proves the validity of an argument.

Note: Logic is typically associated with facts because facts are often used to set the premises for logical arguments. However, logic may also be applied according to conceptual premises, which do not have to be proven factual.

Definition of Logical:
According to strict principles and criteria of validity.

Note: Logical in this context does not mean being intelligent or clever, but merely arguing in accordance with principles and criteria.

Definition of Reason:
An explicit explanation that provides an analytical argument to validate the truth of a statement, action, or occurrence.

Note: Apart from Thinkers, Feelers may also commonly use terms such as "reasons" or "makes sense". However, what may be presented as a logical reason may or may not be logical in nature.

Derivative Traits

As mentioned above, Extraverted Thinkers are individuals who focus on making objective decisions based on logic by evaluating the world externally with opinions from others determined by logical reasons. As such, various characteristics can be expanded upon this core trait to understand it better.

To illustrate an experiential depiction of an individual who seeks Logical Effectiveness, here are some possible derivative traits that are commonly reported from individuals of this Type Instinct.

  1. Decides by assessing the reasons and rationale attained from the logical input of others.
  2. Thrives in group advancement whereby accomplishing results is crucial and prioritized.
  3. Promotes logical effectiveness in the group while disregarding individual values and beliefs.
  4. Constructs multiple arguments to convince others of what works best for the group.
  5. Achieves success by using efficient processes, resulting in improved effectiveness and productivity for others.
Note: As these are some possible derivative traits, a person of this Type Instinct will either display some or most of the attributes above, with differing frequency and intensity.

Thematic Details

Within the fictional world of Mochiverse, the Type Instinct of an archetype is represented by the ninja's clan. In particular, individuals who seek for Effectiveness are represented by the Wolf Clan.

Crests of the Silver Wolf Clan (left) and Blazing Wolf Clan (right). The Silver Wolf Clan consists of Extraverted Sensors (top) and Introverted Sensors (bottom), while the Blazing Wolf Clan consists of Extraverted Intuitives (top) and Introverted Intuitives (bottom).

The reason for this animal choice is because Wolves symbolize teamwork, effectiveness and loyalty, qualities that reflect in individuals with Extraverted Thinking. Hence, Wolf Ninjas find no trouble in streamlining workflow and processes, granting them the ability to manage people and resources efficiently.

To be specific, the Wolf Clan is made up of two subclans, namely the Silver and Blazing Wolf Clan. Those who belong to the Silver Wolf Clan have a Sensing Function as their Supportive Function. On the other hand, those who belong to the Blazing Wolf Clan have a Intuition Function as their Supportive Function.

Due to the different Supporting Functions, both subclans vary slightly in terms of their Type Outlooks. Ninjas hailing from the Silver Wolf Clan are realistic leaders who achieve group results through practical means. Likewise, ninjas hailing from the Blazing Wolf Clan are visionary leaders who achieve group results through innovative means.
