To reiterate, Energy Density describes the Solidity and Fluidity of an individual’s personality, as reflected in concepts like the Yin and Yang found in Daoism and the Anima and Animus proposed by Jung.

In the physical world, solid matter is normally denser than fluid matter. And when a material is denser, its particles are more tightly packed, making it stronger and more resistant to external force. For example, a brick is denser than a sponge, while a sponge is denser cotton.

Similarly, as Solid energy is more compact and dense, it possesses a powerful driving potential, pushing and resisting anything that opposes it. On the other hand, Fluid energy is more malleable and versatile, shifting and shaping according to the demands of its surroundings. To put it in other words, Solid Energy is forceful and unyielding, while Fluid Energy is gentle and flexible.

By identifying the density of our mental energy, we can then determine the Solidity and Fluidity of our personality. With that, let us explore the Solid and Fluid energies in greater detail.

Solid Energy

Like a massive boulder that forms mountains and splits rivers, Solid energy is an immovable force that is stable and unwavering even under high pressure. It is synonymous with masculine energy, carrying the qualities of power, strength, and dominance.

Similar to Yang energy, Solid energy is a masculine force of action. It is more assertive, projective, and unyielding. As such, this energy often shapes and transforms everything that crosses its path.

When such robust energy drives our psyche, it creates a powerful and resilient state of mind. Therefore, individuals who carry Solid energy will tend to display aggressive and forceful behavior when dealing with people or situations. This energy can also manifest as sheer confidence in one's judgments and perceptions.

Fluid Energy

Like a delicate river that flows gracefully around its obstacles, Fluid energy is a movable force that shifts and adapts according to the ever-changing circumstances. It is synonymous with feminine energy, carrying the qualities of flexibility, malleability, and receptiveness.

Similar to Yin energy, Fluid energy is a feminine force of receptivity. It is softer, accommodating, and open to receiving. As such, this energy is often formless, taking shape around anything it comes across.

When such gentle energy drives our psyche, it forms a more flexible and moldable state of mind. Therefore, individuals who carry Fluid energy will tend to be more open and agreeable when dealing with people or situations. This energy can also manifest as more malleability in one’s perspectives and judgments.
