Introduction
NXT Energy is the category for personality types that share common traits according to their innate energy, forming their Energy Density, Energy Structure, Energy Construct, and Type Temperament in the NXT personality framework.
Overview
NXT Energy delves into the innate energy that forms one's personality, explaining the variation in certitude among different individuals. By breaking down this topic, one can understand the differing degrees of firmness and flexibility that people typically embody.
Energy is commonly known as the capacity to do work. In terms of the human psyche, this can be described as one's mental energy. Mental energy is the energy that determines one's level of sustained interest in doing or thinking about something.
When individuals engage in activities related to their Dominant or Supportive Function, the individual will be in a state of high mental energy. However, when it comes to activities related to the bottom two functions, the person will be in a state of low mental energy.
Apart from measuring the level of an individual's mental energy, there is also the aspect of density to it as well, better known as Energy Density. Energy Density describes how dense one’s mental energy is, whether it is Solid or Fluid. This in turn determines how firm or flexible one can be with their observations and decisions.
Listed below is a brief summary of the Energy Densities:
- Solid Energy - Structure or Construct that hardly changes.
- Fluid Energy - Structure or Construct that easily changes.
Energy Structure describes the Energy Density of an individual’s observations, while Energy Construct describes the Energy Density of an individual’s decisions. Depending on the solidity or fluidity of one's observations and decisions, it will determine the aggressiveness or passivity of one's temperament.
In short, NXT Energy is centered on Energy Density, explaining how they shape and determine an individual's personality. Below are the topics that will be covered within NXT Energy.
Energy Density
Energy Density will delve into the density of mental energy and its effect on an individual's observations and decisions. Although individuals may share the same archetype, their behavior may differ in terms of firmness or flexibility. This variation results in the formation of different Energy Densities.
There are two ends of the Energy Density spectrum. The higher the density, the more solid the energy. Likewise, the lower the density, the more fluid the energy. This gives rise to the classification of two Energy Densities: Solid Energy (O) and Fluid Energy (F).
Type Temperament
Type Temperament will delve into how an individual's Energy Structure and Energy Construct pair up to influence their psychological state. Each individual will have a unique pairing of the Energy Structure and Energy Construct. This variation results in the formation of different Type Temperaments.
There are a total of two Energy Structures that can be paired with two different Energy Constructs. This gives rise to the classification of four Type Temperaments: Assertive (A), Conclusive (C), Decisive (D), and Receptive (R).
