THE OFFICIAL NXT DEFINITIONS

Imaginative Inspiration

Imaginative Inspiration belongs to one of the four Type Natures in the NXT personality framework. If you are new or unfamiliar with the topic, do refer to the Introduction of Type Nature for more information.

Overview

Imaginative Inspiration is the result of pairing Implicit Perceiving and Implicit Judging Cognitive Functions, operating together to make observations that are abstract and decisions based on values by examining for knowledge consisting of connotative concepts and evaluating with opinions determined by emotional justifications.

To put it briefly, those of this Type Nature focus on what is abstract and emotionally valid to bring about Imaginative Inspiration.

These individuals have an Intuition Function and Feeling Function among their Dominant and Supportive Functions. This means that either Extraverted Intuition (NE) or Introverted Intuition (NI) will be paired with either Extraverted Feeling (FE) or Introverted Feeling (FI).

To provide greater clarity and understanding of the descriptions above, below are the key definitions for the specific terms used.

Key Definitions

Definition of Abstract:
Imagined and non-tangible, existing only conceptually.

Note: Apart from ideas and theories that are evidently abstract, analogies and metaphors are also considered to be abstract, as they refer to intangible concepts that are formed through one's imagination.

Definition of Connotative:
Describing the implied meaning or representation suggested by something rather than its literal description or representation.

Note: For example, the word "cold" would suggest someone being emotionless, instead of the literal meaning of something absent of heat.

Definition of Concept:
Things that are generated in the mind, usually without tangible evidence or existence in real life.

Note: People tend to associate the term "concept" with art and design. However, concept in this context merely means an idea or theory.

Definition of Value:
The instinctive worth that determines the importance of a belief.

Note: Values are typically associated with morality because it involves shaping one's beliefs and moral principles. However, something valued may also be something one prefers, which does not always involve morality.

Definition of Emotional:
According to the importance and nuances of feelings.

Note: Emotional in this context does not mean being sensitive or overreactive, but merely doing something in accordance with feelings.

Definition of Justification:
An implicit explanation that provides a convincing argument to validate the importance of a viewpoint, behavior, or event.

Note: Feelers may not commonly use the term "justifications". They may say phrases such as "my reasons are..." or "it makes sense to..." that sound logical, but are often emotional justifications instead.

Thematic Details

Within the fictional world of Mochiverse, the Type Nature of an archetype is represented by the primary color of the ninja, which also denotes the ninja's village. In particular, individuals with Intuition and Feeling Functions as their top two functions belong to the Air Village, which is represented by the color yellow.

Example of ninjas who seek Imaginative Inspiration.

The reason for the color yellow is its association with the air element. Air is an element that symbolizes change and wonder. As such, ninjas from this village are known to be imaginative and inspirational, capturing the innate preference of Intuition and Feeling archetypes for Imaginative Inspiration.
